FEANI Registration and the European Engineer Title (EUR ING)

Registration is open to engineers who are registered with the National Member organisations. (For example, in the UK, this means that applicants must already be registered with the EC(UK).)

The UK Privy Council has approved the use of the title EUR ING as a prenominal, in front of the name and before all other ranks and titles. It does not replace the title Chartered Engineer (CEng), which should still be used as a post-nominal. Chartered Engineers are generally eligible for the EUR ING title, and over 12,000 British Chartered Engineers have already achieved the qualification.
